Happy belated Halloween my boys and ghouls. We hope you had a holiday full of festivities, costumes, and candy with a few frights through in for good measure. Our circus has been hard at work, this is our favorite holiday after all! A day where the veil things and the costumed monsters and the real ones become nigh indistinguishable. We have been performing hard all October and Halloween will get its own special post. But first, we got to perform for a local Carnival with our sister studio, Suspended Motion.
Suspended Motion has been doing an annual Halloween show for the past 3 years, each show with a slightly different theme of thrills and chills. This year was focused on phobias, your darkest fears manifesting themselves in performers of amazing skill. Pieces included fear of heights (makes sense in an aerial studio), fear of strangers and assimilation, fear of drowning and the ocean and more.
Many of our performers were there, both on the stage and in the audience! Boo, our bendy acro balance queen, was in several silks pieces as well as joining Crocodile Tears and Selia Something on stage for a contortion piece titled "They have no bones!" Crocodile Tears helped the aquatic fears with their fear of the open ocean and drowning. Selia, Crocodile Tears and Eve Riot created a fan flow piece to friend of the circus, Unwoman's song "Written in Red." The whole show was hosted by the owners of the studio, Sapphire Starfire and Liz!
Each year improved on the skills presented and gets spookier every year. We love participating and cannot wait for our next collaboration!
